Katherine Anne Tollin passed away on Monday July 9, 2018 with her daughter by her side. Preceded in death by her husband Max Tollin and brother Richard Blaney.
Anne was a dear and devoted mother to Alison; beloved and cherished grandmother of Tyler and Hannah; loving sister of Carol Wolff, Karen Carr and her husband Charles. Anne suffered through many a illness, but through it all she was one tough cookie. She touched the lives of many, gave selflessly, was a wonderful friend, and never failed to tell you if she didn’t like your hair. She will be truly missed.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Please feel free to donate (if you wish) to any charity close to your heart.
KEEP A-GOIN’
If you strike a thorn or rose,
Keep a-goin'!
If it hails or if it snows,
Keep a-goin'!
'Taint no use to sit an' whine
When the fish ain't on your line;
Bait your hook an' keep a-tryin'--
Keep a-goin'!
When the weather kills your crop,
Keep a-goin'!
Though 'tis work to reach the top,
Keep a-goin'!
S'pose you're out o' ev'ry dime,
Gittin' broke ain't any crime;
Tell the world you're feelin' prime--
Keep a-goin'!
When it looks like all is up,
Keep a-goin'!
Drain the sweetness from the cup,
Keep a-goin'!
See the wild birds on the wing,
Hear the bells that sweetly ring,
When you feel like singin', sing--
Keep a-goin'!
-Frank L. Stanton (1857-1927)
