Leroy Burnett Obituary
Leroy L. Burnett was born in Jamaica on August 15, 1947,
in the district of Friendship, Westmoreland, to Enid Brown
and Dunston Burnett.
Leroy received his education at Blauwearie All-Age School
in Jamaica. After leaving school, he went to live in
Montego Bay, where he worked at the Royal Caribbean
Hotel as a Head Chef. In 1986, he migrated to the United
States where he worked at the convention center until 1996,
when he started his own landscaping business.
Leroy married Jacqueline in 1998 and the union produced 3
daughters.
Survivors include: his 5 children: Cheryl Burnett, Leroy
Burnett, Jr, Theresa Burnett, Beyonka Burnett, Caroline
Burnett; 7 grandchildren; 2 sisters: Peggy and Marva; 6
brothers: Donovan and Dudley Burnett, Dwight, Bill,
Whitfield, and Leighton Hogg; and a host of nieces,
nephews, and friends.
