On January 7, 2022 J. Francis Werneth beloved husband of Margaret Werneth (Nee Bahr). Also survived by sister in laws Marie Whipp, Frances Pullin plus ten brothers and sister in laws and survived by a niece Tina M. Whipp and nephews Ronald Becker and wife Dorothy, Kevin Whipp and wife Valerie, cousin Janet Powers and others.
He graduated from St. Dominics in 1949 and City College in 1953. He was employed at Rice’s Bakery and Home Beneficial Life Insurance Co. (Now AIG) as an Insurance agent. HE retired at 55. His hobbies were antique cars and listening to early jazz. He was a member of the following clubs National and Local Chesapeake Region AACA, Buick Club, DeSoto Club, Ford V8 Club. In 1976 he was the founder and president of The DeSoto Owners Club of America. Past president of Chesapeake Region AACA. He owned many antique cars over the years but his favorite was his 1959 DeSoto. Box 414 where he volunteered in the Glenn L. Martin Maryland Aviation Museum for many years. He also researched and wrote history of Maryland Duesenberg’s which was published in the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Club newsletter from 1991 to 1998. Member of the Knights of The Columbus 5058 and 4th degree.
Family and Friends may call the family owned Marzullo Funeral Chapel P.A. on Tuesday January 11th, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Funeral Liturgy at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church 9215 Old Harford Road on Wednesday, time to be determined. Interment at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
