Ruby Mitchell

Ruby Lee Mitchell was born on November 5, 1948. She was the daughter of Mary Taylor and Preston Childers Sr. She was raised in Baltimore, MD. She earned a high school diploma at Southern High School. She also attended Coppin State University and also Towson University. Ruby was an art major. She was also a professional photographer, which she was very passionate about. She loved photographing people and making them smile. She was ambitious, funny, creative and smart. She traveled all over and made lots of friends and family everywhere she went. Ruby lived her life the way she wanted to. So many people loved her, and she will never be forgotten.

She leaves behind her daughter, Jamy Jackson, her fiance, Anthony Woolford, her son-in-law, Lavelle Jackson and her four grandchildren Kylia, Joshua, Kiersten, and Isaiah Jackson. Her sisters, Sarah Childers, Aisha Abdullah, Pamela King, her brothers, the late Preston Childers, Jr., and Deroy Childers and a host of niecces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation and Services for Ruby will be on Monday October 16th 2023 from 11am to 1pm at Marzullo Funeral Chapel.
