William Cashman III Obituary

William Roy Cashman III, aged 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16th at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was born on April 2, 1955, in Harrisburg, PA, to William R Cashman Jr. and Gladys R Cashman (née Jones). Bill was a 1973 graduate of Carlisle High School, where he played football and made life long friends. He was a proud alumnus of Dickinson College, where he continued his football career and became a Sigma Chi fraternity brother. He married the love of his life, Deborah F Cashman (née Frantz) on October 1st, 1983, at Pine Grove Furnace State Park. Bill and Deb met while working management at Wendy’s. He worked as a financial advisor with Wells Fargo, displaying his strong people skills, and gave back to his community through serving as a member of church leadership and on the boards of local charities. Bill was very outgoing and loved exploring and planning adventures. His family, travel, and music were his biggest passions. Bill was a wonderful story teller and always had the ability to make anyone smile and laugh. He is survived by his wife, Deb; a younger brother, Thomas Cashman; two daughters, Lauren Callahan and Rachael Hersh; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family, friends, and others are invited to St Paul's United Church of Christ in Mechanicsburg, PA, beginning at 2pm for visitation and a service beginning at 3pm on Friday September 26th, to reminisce and honor the life of Bill. A celebration of life will be held at Strock Enterprises Event Venue from 4-7pm following the service.
